Thankful for life, love, and laughter.
Life: A granddaughter sleeping with me had her head on my chest. She sweetly said, “I hear your heart.” Isn’t it nice that the heart just keeps doing its job, seldom drawing attention to itself. I’m glad I don’t have to remember to turn it on every day!
Love: I’m thankful for love so deep it doesn’t have to be expressed to be known – and for love so deep that it calls to us in words sometimes also. And sometimes it shows itself in deeds, such as when Jesus gave Himself to be crucified to pay off my sin debt.
Laughter: I seldom hear something that makes me laugh out loud. But it does sometimes happen. Here is a recent contribution on Facebook from my niece – a meme that said, “I didn’t go to the gym this morning. That makes seven years in a row.”
I’m still busy with home projects. I think I’m now about 20 days in a row. Getting a lot done even though I’m slooow. It takes me as long to make a decision as it does for Roger to do the work. I’ve almost finished a project in the entry. Just need a picture light. I didn’t realize those things were so expensive. Amazon has one for $49.99 which I can get free by submitting my info for a credit card. I am tempted. But I learned long ago, one gets nothing for nothing, so I am cautious.
Oh, yes, regarding Biden forgiving student loan debts —- no, I don’t want to go to bed mad. So I go back to my theme for this post. I’m thankful for Life, Love and Laughter.
The phrase, “I don’t have to remember to turn it on,” jumped out at me. There’s so much we just take for granted, isn’t there? God is so good.
Indeed, He is. Thanks, Kathy.
I give you one that me laugh out loud twice in one day. Me and my husband were on our way to the city to do some shopping and this young girl was standing in front of a family washroom as the ladies one was being cleaned. As we waited her brother who was younger than her decided her was going to jump in between both her and me. So she looked down at him and said in a stern voice…”You know there is a line up here.” I nearly died as she looked at me and smiled. So then the door opened and she went into the washroom. A few minutes went by and out she came. She had a look of wonder on her face and she marched right up to me and said ” Be Careful in there, that toilet is very very aggressive” Well I nearly fell on the floor! It was the best laugh I have had in a while. Kids say the most awesome things! GOD BLESS and have a wonderful weekend! P.S. She was right. The toilet was kinda noisy and loud hahhhahahahahaha
that is funny! Yes, I have met some aggressive toilets, but I had not thought of them by that description. I believe you met some impressive children. I wonder if they were home-schooled. Sounds like big sister was on the alert for her little brother and he paid attention to her.
❤ Life would be so dull without laughter! And Love is always needed as well!
Sure ‘nuf!
Love this!
