MY HAPPY PLACE

So I am making a choice which picture I will use as my happy place. So thinking of the many years we have been together, I choose this picture of my recliner next to my husband’s happy place – his sofa.

What do I do here that makes it a happy place? Well, occasionally Sammy and I talk. 😀 Not often, but we do watch news together so have some information to talk about. Fortunately we are not opponents politically. We both drool over Tulsi.

We also eat in this happy corner. Sammy eats his oatmeal about eight am. I do whatever in the kitchen during the morning so I seldom sit down to eat breakfast. Sometimes I do when Roger and ReNee eat together and invite me to join them. We do that at the “proper” table.

I don’t eat what I call a real meal until about four-thirty. That is my big time meal and it is the one I eat sitting in this chair.

Occasionally R and R watch a movie with us in this room. This is my happy place during movie time; at least until I go to sleep. I generally take a nap about five to six-thirty. In that case I can stay awake for a ninety minute show.

I could ramble on, but I choose to save your time – and mine. That’s all, folks, I’m off to reading some of your good stuff. Find out if you ramble in an organized way. 😀

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Yes, I have several of these special spots; all here at home. I noticed that most people who wrote about their happy place, chose their own homes. That’s good. Old motto: There’s no place like home.

God bless you and Sammy and your happy-shared space!
