No! I am not a hoarder; I’m learning about “hacks.” Sewing hacks, kitchen hacks, fashion hacks, cabinet hacks. So I’ve gathered up some items strewn around.
Grandma Larson down the street a piece has eight granddaughters. She’ll need some birthday presents. Doris has been redecorating. She will like new lamps or pictures as well as frames for school pictures.
The eye-glasses? I’ll donate them to charity. The display case? I see in my mind’s eye! It will make such a delightful Christmas tree. Red bulbs on green ribbon amidst silver tinsel.
Useful stuff….I have plans….
“Hello, Son. What do you mean? Downsizing?”

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
Downsizing is good for the soul! 🤗☺️
Makes one re-value his priorities.
We are what we buy
What one’s heart desires and her paycheck can cover.
You also should deal with your kleptomania. That rack of glasses is wanted by some optometrist’s shop!! 😂
Wrong! It came from the Dollar Tree and I had a terrible time getting the thing in my purse!
😂😂😂
I think she has a delightful idea about repurposing! Good for her.
She was pretty creative in the past; repurposed things to have more purpose. 😀 Not too practical at her present age.
At least she is giving the items a home, a better idea than them going to landfill
Sometimes receivers are a bit less than thankful at the choice of others.
Made me laugh, Oneta 🙂
Smiling with thanks.
Lovely, making the best of what is available is true bliss. Downsizing, feathers from a duck?
Put them in a sack and make a cowboy’s bed! Might not be any better than a few rocks. 😀
