ALIENATION OF CHILDREN

This is a cut and paste, first posted four years ago. I don’t see any improvement in any of the charges I made at that time. Since then much more has been done to separate public school children from their parents. Four years ago, I would not have dreamed that we will see the time when the mother could not register the gender of her child when he/she registers for school! I noticed on some news item this week a boy was called “them” as a pronoun. I tried to figure out who was with him. When Christ walked this earth, he rebuked and cast out all the “thems” who dwelt in people. He called them devils/demons and sent them running for cover!

By the way, he cared about those walking the earth today. He gave authority to us, his ministers and followers, authority to do the same. Why? Speaking for myself, I’m too much of a coward.

I’ve been rummaging and remembering family treasures and times together.  I don’t remember “moody” peers.  Suicides were almost a never happen event.  For the first thirty years, I only knew one person who committed suicide.  No illegal drugs/but there was smoking and drinking.  Few young people were sick.  What is happening?

I suggest that much crime-sickness-suicide-depression is caused by the alienation of children from adults. Consider the following cultural changes which separate children and adults.

  • Family table games have changed to solitary video games.
  • Cars allow more peer chauffeuring. No need for parents to drive the children to practice sessions, over night pajama parties, etc.
  • Churches separate children, teens, adults by providing age-based services and facilities.
  • Parents spend more hours working, and neighbors are hesitant to get involved.
  • Fast food pick-up and individually merchandised packaging hampers family meals.
  • Some parents are self centered, and want their “alone” time.
  • Entertainment such as TV and movies make kids believe it is not “cool” to enjoy moms and dads.
  • Blended and divided families make bonding with a parent seem disloyal.
  • Higher income has allowed computers, audio-video equipment, cell phones for children’s rooms.
  • No longer family centered TV watching.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Truth! Hard truth…. I was sent a story about an 11 yo girl. A relative died. She went to see her guidance counselor for grief counseling. She left the grief counseling as a boy! They told her to not tell her mother (a parent single parent), and coached her how to change pronouns. It took about three weeks before the mother found out, because her daughter told her grandmother. Fortunately, the little girl was able to erase that incident in return to being a joyful and prissy little girl! This is so scary what is happening to children….🙏⚓️✝️

Somebody had prayer fences around this little one. So sad that our country has come to this end. God can still help us but why would He? He is merciful; maybe He will.

I know, it doesn’t seem He is merciful to allow these horrors to continue. But His promises never fail. He has a plan of redemption, we just need to be prepared, pray without ceasing and share the Good News!

Good point about questioning whether churches should separate children into age-based services. When I grew up in a Catholic congregation the only time children were separated was when they were infants and crying. There was a cry room off to the side with some sound proofing but still visible to the service.

My Christian Education background allows me to make provision for a “children’s sermon” separate from the adults, but I am definitely for all ages staying in “big” church through singing and prayer and testimonies. Testimonies were very important to me but they are unheard of now. But they have to be discerned for truth. 😀 Sermons do too.

I am so grateful that God is still in control. Human beings have none.

And now, we have teachers telling students not to tell their parents about what is being taught, or what ‘services’ are being provided. It’s clear to me that far too many teachers are more interested in pushing their ideologies than in teaching students.

An issue I have discovered that only hurts the child is this. A child diverse in some way, my issue relates to part American Indian, is pushed to take part in every “free offering” to the child, needed or not. The school gets federal money I am sure so he is enrolled in everything from after school mentors to building skyscrapers with paper cups. These could well be worth taking if the goal were to teach, but won’t help anything if the goal is to bring in Title XXXX money.

Excellent post! Yeah, I do believe America is possessed. Because when people refuse to turn from their sins and repent, Christ told us the spirit would return and bring along some friends. Making the person worse than they were originally. Christ told us, but, many don’t want to listen.

“… evil people and impostors will go on from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom[a] you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” 2 Timothy 3:12-15
