‘TWEEN GOD AND ME – Coat
“Ooh, she looks cold,” I thought as I drove past the girl sitting on the bus bench at La Quinta Motel. “Yes,” I heard in my head, “Go back and give her your coat.” I kept driving. The words stuck. … Continue reading
HOW SIN AFFECTS ME
Consider William Cowper’s hymn from the mid 1700s, “O for a Closer Walk with God.” The third verse surely is not something we can get excited about. “Return, O holy Dove, return, Sweet messenger of rest! I hate the sins … Continue reading
AN AMAZING OFFER
It is common to hear that God has no favorites, that He is not a respecter of persons. That is true; however, He does have intimates! The good news is that anyone, anywhere, anytime can be intimate with Jehovah, the … Continue reading

GOD, A FRIEND?
In earthly friendships there may be a lot of give and take, compromises, and negotiations; however, that is not possible in one’s relationship with Jehovah-shammah. Jesus says his friends must do as He commands them. If one considers that requirement, … Continue reading
GRANDDAD MAKES THE MOONSHINE!
Nope, it was nothing like Joshua making the sun shine still! (If you don’t know that story it is in Joshua, Chapter Ten, Holy Bible.) Granddad bootlegging whiskey!? In November I wrote about my grandfather in Meeting the Lord in the … Continue reading

The Tender Shepherd
Pictures representing the 23rd Psalm generally show a beautiful valley with green grass, cool running water, and healthy sheep but reality is that every shepherd has to deal with sick sheep, weak sheep, wayward sheep. All sheep need care from … Continue reading
