small houses

The entry lights up the ethereal beauty of the exoteric community, belying the evil that lives within.

The residents had enough to be comfortable and did not care to emulate the elite who lived elsewhere – somewhere beyond the easements which edged their homes.

Except for one.  The terrorist.  He sat, with pencil in hand, erasing a part of his drawings to give a more exact description of  the equipment he would need.  He was relieved.  Soon it would be over.

——sirens blared, door burst open.  He was right, it was soon over – even sooner than he had planned!

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Thanks for your interpretation. I thought the looked peaceful as contrasted with the evil in one. It would probably be a good picture for a prompt, one with many interpretations. I was looking for a completely different kind of picture – a scary old mansion when I found this and changed the direction of my story.

Great flash fiction story congratulations. It hit me in a spiritual sense as well. (dealing in our lives with evil within often fuelled by the constant looking at evil stuff without).

  4. Oh you did well!! I’m having trouble with this list… 🙂
