I want to pay tribute to wonderful people I have known, the wonderful country in which I live, the communities in which I have lived, the churches who have claimed me as their own, the God who sends shivers down my back when I really give him a portion of my time—well, maybe not shivers but tears flow easily in some of those most priceless times.

MR AND MRS ME
Friends, I’ve been working too hard. Time for a little relaxation. Lots of Vacation Bible Schools going on. Puts me in a mind to reminisce and remark about a few changes in family life. So….back to my granddad’s table. Long … Continue reading
GOD, THE HEALER
Well, Folks, I have finally succeeded a bit on work on my pages. Under God’s Provision, there is a drop down for God, My Healer. This is an excerpt from that page: The setting in which the name Jehovah-rophe first … Continue reading
LET THERE BE LIGHT
Again it was midnight when I finished for the day. I was tired; the bed looked inviting. I flipped the covers back, and a part of the spread fell over a doll’s face. Feeling a bit foolish, I reached over … Continue reading
GOD’S PROVISION
A month or so ago, I read a post regarding people’s need for friendship. I responded that I had done a study that correlated man’s needs with provisions of God as represented by his Jehovah names. I’m having a hard … Continue reading

This is a skating number from 1929. Amy has copied over Pete’s writing to preserve its message. It was signed by Pete and it says, “skate number I stole over at Pritchett while I was skating.” Daring young lad! Since … Continue reading

A PLACE IN MY HEART
My first father’s day salute goes to Rev. Thomas Hayes, my father-in-law and spiritual leader for many years of my life. To my blogging friends who did not know him, a bit of an introduction. One of Tom’s daughters, an … Continue reading

MY TARGET AUDIENCE? YOU, OF COURSE!
So do I understand this fourth assignment right? I am to decide and discuss who I am writing for—otherwise, who is my target audience? Eeeezee! I am writing for anyone younger than I! “Nough said!” But no, I’ll not stop. … Continue reading
HARD CHOICES
How awesome that the tiniest newborn comes programmed with the five senses! How much we take for granted with so little thought for the ability to see, hear, smell, touch, and taste! It seems that we don’t think much about … Continue reading
