JESUS: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death – even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:6-8)
Dear Friends, I can wish you no greater gift than that which was given!

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
Thanks Grandma Oneta
And yes, to you and your whole big wonderful family also!!
Hope your Day was blessed. Thanks, Deb, for visiting.
Merry Christmas, Oneta!
Thank you, Yinglan. Have you reported on your Christmas yet. If so, I have missed it. Was it special? In what way?
No, I haven’t. There was nothing going on. I just sat on the couch and read my book while doing some packing now and then for my trip to China.
My company was before and after (still some coming), so I needed the rest on Christmas Day. 😀
That’s quite a lot of company.
Merry Christmas 🎄 Oneta!
Thank you, Dawn Marie. Am I right that you had a daughter get married this year? If so, was she with you for Christmas?
Yes indeed our daughter was married this past May. We were blessed to spend some quality time with both she and our new son-in-law whom we adore! I hope you were surrounded by loved ones as well…
So blessed when our children marry those whom we can love. 😀
There is great wisdom in what you speak!!!!!
😀
Hope indeed it is (was) a wonderful 2016 Christmas for you and yours. Memories made and space for reflection and peace.
Thank you, Faye. We had company before and after Christmas, but were alone on that day. I needed the rest so I didn’t complain. 😀
Amen!!! I love Christmas for the very reason for the season! This year it was extra special as we introduced our 3 year old grandson to Jesus! He wanted him to come visit, not Santa Claus! Out of the mouths of babes!
Did you see Mitch today about his friends who have birthdays on or near Christmas. It was impressive! If you don’t follow him, you need to. I’ll look up the link, and get back with you.
Back to Debbie L. and anyone else who doesn’t know Mitch Teemley https://mitchteemley.com/2016/12/27/overlooked-2/
No, don’t know him. Please do!
Added in note above.
Wow, that was a good one!
Merry third day of Christmas, which happens to be a celebration of John the apostle. J.
Thank you, Salvageable. I happened to read the second and third chapters of Revelation today – the messages to the churches. John should most certainly be celebrated.
