He’s a well trained puppy, all around
You say, report him to “Lost and Found?”
No, I’ll not bother to look for the owner
I consider him to be a donor.
I’m gonna keep this nice grey hound.

ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Is that a true story that became this limerick, Oneta? 🙂
It’s a lovely limerick!
No, Rashmi, it didn’t happen. I favor puppies that are going to still be little when they are grown along with German shepherds. I’ve never liked grey hounds very much but I thought this little guy was cute and he rhymed with found. Lucky find, huh? So can resist. And thank you.
Good job, I love to see dogs adopted.
Thanks, Nicola. I think several people liked this little grey hound.
He is a good looking guy. No wonder he inspired such an inspired piece of poetry.
Thank you, Anand. 😀
Your limerick about the greyhound is very kind of you, I know those animals do need love and care, the fact that you have done that is thoughtful of you.I read your limerick, wasn’t sure what to write in my comment, so I decide to let it go. Thank you for making me aware. 🙂
Thank you for your comment, ranu802. I am getting credit which I don’t deserve. I do not really have a puppy. Love them, but I have been hurt so much by their loss, I don’t take the chance anymore, and I feel like I’m too old to be responsible for them for fourteen years or so. See? I deserve no credit. But maybe it will make someone else want one.
I understand why you do not want to adopt any more, i know it hurts a lot when they die, and it is difficult to go through this experience second time.
Yep. 😀 😀
Adorably written! 🐶
Thank you, Dawn Marie. I have missed you for a few days but saw something last night. I’ve got behind some this week. Had to give up on some in my Reader. So maybe it was my fault if I missed something. Thanks for visiting.
I have been juggling a bit lately with not much free time to write. Hopefully soon. But I have so enjoyed this day of reading & catching up especially at your lovely site!
😀 😀
