MAKE PEACE, NOT WAR

fight

They say love makes peace

Not knowing the heart of man

Is wholly selfish.

“MAKE PEACE, NOT WAR” Doesn’t that sound good?  Sadly it does not work.

All animals fight over territory, food, sex, power.  Man’s brain gives him more weapons for the fight.   The “me/mine” evident in toddlers grows greater as the person grows – unless there is a desire to change.  Sadly even the desire does not suffice without a Helper.  Thank God, he is our Helper.

PEACE WILL COME WHEN JESUS REIGNS –

IN THE HEART OF MAN AND/OR IN THE WORLD.

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Thank you for relevant blog .Truth indeed. .That’s why we as followers and Believers in Christ must day by day learn to die to ‘self’ and ‘self’s interests. If we can truly come to see and understand life from another’s perspective .then, that’s the only way we could ever LOVE our enemies. So hard to do when lifestyles and actions are ‘outside the Word of God’. We must hold to our TRUTH but die to self’s desire to ‘sort em out!’ . Gentleness and example. (O how much I still have to grow!!).

This melody played as the background for my thoughts as I read your post, Oneta. “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me….with God as our Father, brothers all are we. Let me walk with my brother in perfect harmony.” What a lovely world it could be if this played in the background for all to listen to…. There would be so many hugs n’ blessings to share if we did!!

I so agree, Oneta. That’s the only thing that will change this world…
