ABOUT ME
Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...
Whoever wants the credit can have it. I am thankful that you are OK. Take care Oneta. Rust of falling in old age is quite high. No one wants to be bed ridden with broken bones. The alert seems to be a good decision.
Hope the bruise disappears soon and you have a wonderful Christmas.
My issue was more of to whom do I give credit/thanks, not who wants the credit/thanks. 😀
It’s always a case of perspective 😀.
Risk of falling, not rust of falling. Google autocorrect will one day kill someone.
I tried to use that “rust” in the context of my bones and joints; was relieved when I saw that it was “risk” spellchecked wrong. 😀
Told you Google autocorrect will kill someone someday😀.
Wow!!! Now that is a bruise for sure! What a pickle—but God was in the midst of that pickle!
What a joy!!
But reading the tale, I was afraid you were going to say the chair fell on you, adding insult to injury—but no, you relayed the story of God suppling a need when a need was most needed!
I fell up the back steps Saturday after Gregory had just told me to be careful as I tend to accident prone—as I defiantly announce that I am NOT accident prone, trip I go.
I screwed my already screwed up knee a bit more—
Could have been worse—nothing is broken—YAY for us both!!!
Yes, we both feel the need to say thanks. I like directing my thanks to the Lord. Thanks for sharing with me out “non-accident-prone” status.
🤗
What I used to think was fortune or luck, like that falling chair for you, I now credit to God as well.
Yeah, I like it like that.
Oh Oneta! I’m glad you are OK. My mom fell this summer (she’s 89)..broke her wrist, ribs and leg..took a LONG.. LONG time to get back on track..but she’s back. The body is an amazing thing.
Yes, it is a marvel of efficiency when it is treated right. Your mom had a lot to recover from. Glad she is doing well.
What a fall! Glad you survived and all is well. I think I need to get one of those “fall alert” things as well. The fun of getting older.
Blessings.
I’m probably going to procrastinate! Maybe my kids will do it for me. Hope so.
God’s provision often amazes. I am thankful you are ok. Getting the fall alert thingy sounds like a good plan while you still have such mobility. Take Care! Blessings. Hope you get what is VITAL sorted for Christmas. I have still in simplicity to get out tree and hope I can still reach to put an angel on the top. Peace! and Love to you!
I’ve cancelled my Christmas plans so it seems like I did a lot of work without much cause. But I am enjoying it even without others. There will be some who come by, I imagine. Yes it is rather hard to decorate when you can’t reach below two feet or higher than your hear. 😀
Nice to know that God controls the law of gravity.
Oh, that He does. Glad He does not change and the natural laws are sure and steadfast!
SO glad to read you weren’t hurt, Oneta! Glory to God in the small things as well as the unexplainable and the big stuff.
Oh my goodness, Oneta! That is a terrible looking bruise. Glad you weren’t hurt worse from the fall, and that you had help coming quickly. ❤
Still looks awful but doesn’t hurt. Thanks for expressing concern. You are kind.
Oh, my! Praise the Lord that’s you’re okay! God bless.
I’m fine. Thank you.
Praise the Lord that you are okay. God is always on the job. Yes, He sent you the chair. Even if some folks would dismiss it as “gravity” – He is the one who created gravity! And as for the timing…God is always on time and always on our side. May He continue to bless and protect you.
Thank you. God is amazing. And he is present but one has to look for Him. I so much appreciate your comments. Smiles and blessings sent your way.
OMG, that’s such a nasty bruise! I hope you are well and healed by now! 😦
Take care!
Yes, it caused only a little pain. Thankfully.
