TWO THINGS

I wind up my birthday learnin’s, lessons, and leanin’s, I say Good Night, Dear Bloggers. with this rather short post.

I am not going into the memories and thankfulness, they will come later with some new pictures and such.

Now for the TWO THINGS. These I believe come from the Lord, and I share because I think that is a reason God lets me be ‘me’ on this blogging journey.

  1. I am 88 today – not 78, 58, or ever 78 – 88 it is. I am growing older. Physically, I will have more challenges to deal with. That was brought to my awareness when I almost stumbled and fell in front of Renee this evening. No reason that either of us could see. I asked her to be sure to remind me to use my walker more. There is something wrong if I only write 87 memories and lessons. I will write them as lessons or as an invitation to you to join in my ramifications. I have learned some things from you as you share your lessons from your lives,. I just read a post from Kristi Ann. I cannot find a place to say thanks to her on her post. But it was important to me. I lot of you know me as a regular reader. I learn much from you also. And I am sometimes blessed with the time to drop in just because! Those are all good. Thank you. so again – I am blessed to be 88. I accept that with grace from my Lord, Jesus Christ.
  2. # Two. … Number 2 … Number Two? ….. Com in, Number Two ,,,,,, Hold on, Friends, while I search for Number Two. Oh, here is #2. Sometime #2 is as hard to find in my brain as the Correct Image Block if for me to find right here on WP 😀 This hit home to me a few hours ago (ten o’clock) when I had a pleasant surprise awakening when I waked from my “nap.” I thought it was ten o’clock in the morning. I had to deliberate remember what an why some things were happening. It was not fun. You all know the “what-did-I-come-in-here-for” moments. Oh, Yes, changes are great that you have experienced them even if you are only 48.

If these two things continue to happen, I must know they come with the added blessings from God. Those things that lead me “from glory to glory” and share them with you as a testimony to lead us every step in his glory

For one thing, I have not “watered the pathway” of my kids, thieir kids, and their kids kids, with my tears as I hope to do this year. They are so precious. Evil is so bad. https://onetahayes.com/2021/10/31/whats-she-for/

Good night as I schedule this for in the morning before I awake. So Good Night and Good Morning! 😀

About oneta hayes

ABOUT ME Hello. To various folks I am Neat’nee, Mom, Grandma Neta, Gramma, Aunt Neta, Aunt Noni, Aunt Neno, and Aunt Neto (lots of varieties from little nieces and nephews). To some I’m more like “Didn’t you used to be my teacher?” or “Don’t I know you from someplace?” To you, perhaps, I am a Fellow Blogger. Not “fellow” like a male or a guy, but “fellow” like a companion or an adventurer. I would choose to be Grandma Blogger, and have you pull up a chair, my website before you, while I tell you of some days of yore. I have experienced life much differently than most of you. It was and is a good life. I hope to share nuggets of appreciation for those who have gone before me and those who come after me. By necessity you are among those who come after me and I will tell you of those who came before. Once upon a time in a little house on a prairie - oops, change that lest I commit plagiarism - and change that “house on the prairie” to “dugout on the prairie.” So my story begins...

Love you, Oneta. You always offer good common sense and spice it up with humor and a whole lot of God’s love for us. May you continue to share your love for Him, our country and your fellow man. May He also bless you with many more birthdays!❤️🎉🎈

  2. Happy Birthday dear friend!!! I pray both you and Sammy continue with good recovery from the menacing ‘flu’!!!!
I want to thank you Oneta for everything you have taught me and continue to teach me here in blogland. Life is a difficult journey for me right now and I trust I can continue to learn and practice Grace, that same Grace you remind me of with each post. I consider myself richly blessed by your presence in my small corner of the world!!! Many hugs Oneta!!!

Julie, you and your family have had so many “endings.” It is hard to catch up with all the new avenues that are opening. It will happen. Just hang tight. Don’t turn loose of anything that is not gone. Even a single retirement is hard to deal with. Throw in a move and you have complications. God still prepares your road even if your corners are the kind you have never gone around before. Love you much.

Happy Birthday Oneta! The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’ May God bless you with many more!!! Blessings and Peace!

  4. You are such a treasure! God bless you.

    Happy birthday Oneta.
    Just 88. That’s 8+8 –> 16.
So you are sweet sixteen now. Enjoy.
Just don’t take a twirl. You gave me a scare when you said you fell.
    Enjoy and stay blessed.
We have many more years to spar.
And who knows, I may drop in again😂.

    • oneta hayes says:

I like your math. Thanks. Especially since I do not have to live them over again. Well, I don’t know about in Heaven. Whatever the age, I’ll get by. 😀 And do come again sometime.

      • pranabaxom says:

😀😀 Stay safe and take care Oneta.
Who knows where we end up. Though at present thinking more about visiting India this year. It’s three and half years and counting since we visited last. Not sure when I shall visit next. Few good friends, classmates and colleagues passed away during this time. Majority to Covid.

        • oneta hayes says:

So sorry. A lot of time I think Covid is a big bluff, but He does sometimes carry a death sentence. Nothing to deal with gently.

          • pranabaxom says:

I wish it was a big bluff but who would convince that to many parents who didn’t see their children one last time or many orphaned kids who couldn’t even perform the last rites of their parents.
I miss my cousin (my aunt’s son) and classmate who was a doctor himself. Many frontline healthcare professionals lost their lives and that’s a great loss to society.

  8. Happy Birthday, Ms. Oneta!

I wish you continued blessings and great effect from your blog.
You may want to check out one of mine about aging, which I am rapidly doing, too. I just may catch up with you in a few years! 😁

Happy belated birthday. If my computer is right, you got there on 25 January, Robert Burns birthday. He would be 263, but then his numbers have not counted in some time. Yours are still counting and you make the most of them. I do not get here often, but I should.
